Designers were inspired by global travels and merging cultures giving their collections an eclectic feel as showcased by Roberto Cavalli, Valentino and Etro. In contrast colour pop tropical prints and silhouettes were seen at Blugirl, Dolce & Gabanna and Tory Burch giving a Club Tropicana feel to the new season. Stripe it up! Designers give the nautical trend a make over with colour mix stripes along with the contemporary washed blue and white patterns which were seen in fluid shapes and shoulder baring styles as showcased by Altuzarra, Sonia Rykiel and Fendi.
Shoulder Play: The ultimate not-Autumn not-Summer cold shoulder silhouette upped its game this season. Designers Victoria Beckham, DKNY and Simone Rocha refreshed the ‘80s-inspired trend with dramatic proportions. Better than your average Breton, the surreal stripe trend underlined by designers Adam Selman, Opening Ceremony and Proenza Schouler combined unexpected colours, proportions and textures.
