New Season Trends SS18 Sneak Peak

We’re well and truly into 2018 and that means we can look forward to a new year of fashion trends and inspiring looks for the next 12 months. Whether your favourite season is summer, or you’re revelling in the current wintry state of the UK, there’s a trend for everyone. At Parisian, we’re already excited for SS18 and the new season trends that are emerging, including new patterns and a whole new colour palette to take advantage of.

So, without further ado, here are the top trends for the upcoming season that you should be looking out for.

Floral focus

‘Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking’ accompanied by a sarcastic eye-roll is a popular line from The Devil Wears Prada, but this season the floral pattern is back simply because it works so well.

Incorporated into new styles, both pastel and bold floral prints make an appearance this time around. You can take advantage of a floral trend across maxi dresses, bodycon dresses, mini dresses and long sleeved dresses. Thanks to its versatile print, florals go with every colour flawlessly. From bright red to pastel pink, lemon yellow to icy blue, everything works a charm in a floral pattern.

You’ll find floral dresses in such a huge array of designs, making them the staple addition to your collection for SS18 once again.

Seeing stripes

Particularly popular in loungewear collections, stripes are becoming a prominent feature of SS18. Tracksuit sets are adorned with simple white side stripes, while trousers are embellished with coloured stripes and poppers for a more daring look. Taking sports luxe to the next level, stripes worn in this way are great for lounging around the house or for creating that casual, effortless look.

Stripes are also making their way into dresses and playsuits for a playful and summery approach to fashion this season. From pastel yellow to monochrome, stripe dresses are a must-have for SS18.

Tropical island

While florals are making their mark for another season, there is a more tropical feel to some of this season’s prints. Exotic leaves and bold colours have created a sub-trend that can be favoured by those who want to be a little different this time around. Black dresses offset this perfectly, showing off the vibrant patterns and finished off with ruffle hems and tie fronts for a beach-inspired appearance.
